Half Day Riding Camps
Happy Trails Recreation Program is proud to offer, in collaboration with Christian Horizons Summer camps for children and young adults with diagnosis of a developmental disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder.
This personalized camp will focus on offering a hands-on experience with all the farm animals, wagon rides, games and much more. The emphasis is placed on a flexible approach that will ensure a pleasant experience for all participants, while experiencing the full benefits of nature and animals in a safe farm environment.

5979 Leitrim Rd, Carlsbad Springs, Ontario (10 minutes east of
Ottawa)
When:
Morning session: 9:00am – 12noon
Afternoon session: 1pm - 4 pm
Criteria:
Age: 8-13 and 14-21 years old
Willingness to wear a safety helmet.
Staff to kids ration:
1 staff to 1-2 children Small group environment of 7-8
children per session.
Screening interviews: The lead
facilitators will meet with all potential candidates and their parents for a
1 hour interview at the Happy Trails farm. The purpose of this meeting is to
ensure that the program is appropriate for your child and meet his/her
needs. Small group environment of 7-8 children per
